Multi-Year Funding Programme. Outcome of Stage One of the application process.

As communicated previously, Creative Scotland received applications to the Multi-Year Funding Programme from 361 cultural and creative organisations with a total ask of £96m per year. Of these, 351 applications were eligible for assessment, and applications have been assessed against the published criteria.

66 organisations, whose applications were assessed, have not met the Stage One criteria and will not progress to Stage Two.

Speaking on today’s announcement, Iain Munro, Creative Scotland’s Chief Executive said: "I'd like to thank all organisations who submitted an application for Multi-Year Funding. The range and breadth of applications received are testament to the ambition and potential that exists across Scotland's culture and creative sector.

"Today's announcement represents the outcome from Stage One of the process, with successful applicants now progressing to Stage Two. This remains a live and extremely competitive process, and not every Stage Two application is likely to be successful.”

For those organisations unsuccessful at Stage One, our website provides information on alternative sources of funding that may be available to them, including through our National Lottery Open Funds, and we can also provide advice on this funding.

Stage Two of the application process for Multi-Year Funding opens at 2pm on Wednesday 6 March, with the deadline for applications set at 2pm on Wednesday 24 April. The final outcome from the application process will be announced by the end of October 2024, with funding in place for successful organisations from Monday 1 April 2025.

Full details of the Multi-Year Funding Programme, including the timeline, criteria, and application guidance, can be found on our website.
