What personal information do we receive and process from other sources?
If you apply for Creative Scotland Crowdmatch +Extra Funding we will be able to access your application, including your contact information, through the Crowdfunder Connect partnership platform. Through this platform we will have access to content used for your crowdfunding campaign, which may include photos, videos and written pitch and Impact Report.
What are our purposes for processing your personal information?
- To confirm you meet the Crowdmatch +Extra Funding eligibility criteria and to assess your application for funding.
- We will verify whether you have applied for or are currently in receipt of Creative Scotland funding for the same project that you are crowdfunding via Crowdfunder. This verification process allows Creative Scotland to ensure the fair and effective allocation of public funds.
- We may contact you by telephone or email regarding your application to the fund and/or your subsequent Creative Scotland Crowdmatch campaign.
- We may promote information about you and your Creative Scotland Crowdmatch campaign on Creative Scotland’s official website and social media accounts e.g. Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook and Threads. This may include showcasing your project or campaign and sharing updates, to highlight your achievements.
- We may wish to use your campaign details and our grant to form part of a case study that we will publish on our website to show good-practice and provide support to other organisations wishing to crowdfund as an alternative source of funding. We will discuss and agree the content with you.
- We may provide your personal information to an independent research agency(s), with whom Creative Scotland will enter a contract, to conduct research or evaluation activities relating to the funding programme. This includes gathering statistical data, analysing impact, and reporting findings to improve our programmes and services.
What is our legal basis for handling and using your personal information?
Public Function - in the performance of tasks carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of Creative Scotland’s official authority as Controller including under the Public Services Reform (Scotland) Act 2010.
