The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo – Youth Talent Development Fund

This fund is aimed at nurturing the ambition, enthusiasm and talent of exceptional young artists engaged in traditional music and dance - with a priority focus on piping, drumming, Highland dance and traditional fiddle playing.

About the Fund

This fund, developed in partnership with The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, is aimed at nurturing the ambition, enthusiasm and talent of exceptional young artists engaged in traditional music and dance - with a priority focus on piping, drumming, Highland dance and traditional fiddle playing.

Through this fund, we look to support a small but ambitious programme of inspiring projects with exceptional young traditional music and dance artists from across Scotland.

Arts and cultural organisations are eligible to apply for funds from the £150,000 budget which is donated by the charitable arm of The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. The fund aims to nurture the ambition and talent of young people (aged 5-26) engaged in traditional music and dance, specifically in piping, drumming, Highland dance and fiddle playing.

Funding available

The total budget available is £150,000 with a minimum award of £5,000 and a maximum award of £20,000.
