If you're interested in exploring a more digitally based practice and want support in doing so, then this programme is for you.
Digital Pivot 2021 builds on the 2020 cycle of the Digital Pivot mentoring programme. It is part of the Creative Digital Initiative (CDI). The CDI aims to give practical help to those who wish to explore the use of and develop skills in digital and creative technologies. Learn more about the impacts from Digital Pivot 2020 in the report below.
Each participant will work with Suzy Glass, independent consultant, producer and facilitator, to determine their goals and ambitions in the digital sphere. There are around 10 slots available in this cycle, and each participant will have access to around three hours of Suzy's time, which could be used in a number of different formats - a longer workshop, or several check-in sessions, for example.
Who is it for?
The support is open to artists, makers or creative individuals based in Scotland. Applications for organisations looking for mentoring support is supplied via the Digital Mentoring and Peer Support Programme from The Space. Applications for organisations have now closed.
As with most of our programmes, it is not for individuals working outside the arts or creative industries.
The sessions are intended to be a launch pad for an idea, and to facilitate ambitions of connection with target audiences or participants. As such, you will talk about what you want to achieve and why, and how you might go about doing that using digital tools and technologies.

- Does the applicant demonstrate evidence of an open mind and a sense of possibility?
- Does the applicant have an idea or a project to discuss?
- Does the applicant outline how their proposed idea or process will map against their creative ambitions and find appropriate audiences?
- Does the applicant have a clear understanding of target audiences or participants and/or how they are likely to behave?
