If an RFO is unsuccessful in its Multi-Year Funding application, the new decision date means that there will be two months before the current RFO funding comes to an end in March 2025, will there be any additional support be provided?

We have allocated up to £11million in National Lottery reserves to provide Transition Funding and support for organisations (including RFOs) which are unsuccessful in their application to Multi-Year Funding.

Decisions on Transition Funding will be made in time for organisations that are unsuccessful in Multi-Year Funding to be able to access funding from 1 April 2025 and details of this support will be made available to all applicants by the end of November 2024.

Organisations will then be able to understand how Transition Funding can work for them should they be unsuccessful in their MYF application and our aim is for this support to provide some certainty for a minimum of the first 6 months of the next financial year 2025/26.

At this stage, until our budget is confirmed, and we can conclude the MYF process, we cannot accurately predict how many organisations will require Transition Funding and so we continue to protect up to £11million of reserves for this purpose.
