Biography
Tom Lyne is a bassist, composer and sound designer originally from Edmonton, Canada who moved to Europe and then the UK after graduating from McGill University with distinction on jazz bass.
Now based in Scotland, Tom has performed with many top UK jazz artists including Brian Kellock, Graeme Stephen, Liane Carroll, Dave Milligan, and his long-standing duo partner singer/songwriter Sophie Bancroft. June 2025 will celebrate the release of Tom’s new duo CD called Well Mixed Blue that features a collection of new original music performed with esteemed Scottish pianist Dave Milligan.
